Privacy policy

This policy explains how Leaders Group handles information when you use leadersgroupnv.com. We keep what we collect to a minimum: this site has no accounts and no sign-up, and you do not need to give us anything to read it.

What we collect

• What you send us through the contact form. The form asks for your name, your email address and your message. We process them so that we can answer you. The form may also offer to email you a copy of what you sent; that copy goes to the email address you give only if you tick the box asking for it, and nothing is sent to you if you leave it unticked. The form is the only part of this site that asks you for anything.
• Basic technical information. When you send the form we also receive standard details such as your IP address.
• Visit statistics. We measure how the site is used with our own analytics, on our own infrastructure. When a page loads it records which page it was, when, the website you came from (its name only, not the page you were on) and which of our web addresses you used. Page addresses are recorded without any query string. From your IP address it works out which country you are in, and from your IP address and browser details it makes a code that tells one visitor from another for counting. That code is not your IP address and changes every day, so a visit today cannot be connected to a visit tomorrow; the IP address itself is not stored. These statistics are pseudonymous — they are not linked to your name or contact details, and what you type into the contact form is not part of them. The analytics sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, and does not follow you to other websites.

Cookies

This site does not use cookies. There is nothing here to sign in to, so there is nothing to remember between visits, and our analytics is the kind that works without them. That is also why you will not find a cookie banner on this site — there would be nothing for you to consent to.

Why we process it, and on what basis

We rely on our legitimate interests: answering you when you get in touch, keeping the site and the form working and secure — which includes stopping the form being abused — and understanding in general terms how the site is used. Where we rely on legitimate interests you can object, and we explain how below.

We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling, we do not sell it, and we do not share it for advertising.

Sharing

The site, the analytics and the system behind the contact form all run on our own infrastructure, looked after for us by the technology company in our own group. Your message is not passed outside the group, and we share it with nobody else unless the law requires it of us. Where this site links to one of our companies' own websites, those sites are separate and handle their own visitors under their own policies.

Where your information is held

We are based in Suriname and that is where your information is processed. Suriname is outside the European Economic Area and is not covered by an adequacy decision of the European Commission, which means the Commission has not assessed its data protection rules as equivalent to the EEA's. If you are writing to us from the EEA and would like to know more about that before you send us anything, ask us first at the address above.

Keeping information

We keep correspondence for as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry and to meet our record-keeping obligations, and then remove it.

Visit statistics hold no IP address, name or contact details, and are deleted automatically two years after they were recorded.

Your rights

You can ask us what information we hold about you and for a copy of it, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict what we do with it, or ask for it in a form you can take elsewhere. Because we rely on legitimate interests, you can also object to our using it — tell us and we will stop, unless we have compelling grounds not to.

Write to info@leadersgroupnv.com and we will respond. You do not have to use the form to reach us — the address works just as well, and sends us nothing but what you write in it.

If you think we have handled your information badly, please tell us first so that we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority — if you are in the EEA, the one for the country where you live or work.

Children

This site is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us information, tell us and we will see that it is deleted.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Our Terms of Use cover the rest of what applies when you use this site.
